CV Marieke Stoel

Marieke Stoel...was born 1956 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

She studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Wim van Beek and at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Piet Kee. She completed her studies at the Summer academy of Haarlem with Xavier Darasse, Daniel Roth, Ton Koopman, Luigi Tagliavini, Monserrat Torrent, Ewald Kooiman, Marie-Claire Alain. Also she studied piano, church music and choir conducting. She was finalist at the Deventer Albert Schweitzer Concourse.

A student still she obtained 1979 the post of organist at the Houtrustkerk in The Hague where she also became conductor of both choirs of the church. From 1979 on she gave innumerable concerts. Her various repertoire runs from the eldest organ literature to the most modern Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese organ compositions. She produced several Compact Discs. The NCRV-radio broadcasted her organ recitals. These can still be heard at the website www.orgelconcerten.ncrv.nl The French Société Académique d' Éducation et d'encouragement ‘Ars-Sciences-Lettres’ honoured her with the 'Diplôme de Médaille de Bronze' in 2007.
